epic win lazy geek toaster bag sweet potato winning

yep, that's right, we are going to be cooking the sweet potato in our everyday household toasters right here, right now - your going to need some 'technology' to do this but you'll be able to pick them up reasonably cheaply if you shop around. I managed to purchase a toaster bag from a pound shop in clearance for less than 50 pence - I've seen them on amazon for around £3.5 GDP but do shop around.

i discovered the toaster bags (watch the video) by chance while i was purchasing my favorite (really bad for me) koka noodles that i mash up into soups and stuff (remember i'm kinda partly offgrid, it's easy/cheap stomach food!)

for geeks and nerds geeking out working, playing, the ability to have something that you can pre-prepare, grab your favorite dip, drop in the toaster two or three times on full with defrost and your good to go. i like mine with hummus but seriously sweet potato is super condiment friendly.

ok so i respect the fact that this one looks a little burned but honestly it tastes great. i can imagine myself walking through some town or city in europe and finding some cheap sweet potato and heading back to the hostel to use the toaster in the kitchen with my toasterbags packed away in my rucksack. super fast turnaround, no plates, no mess - just a tub of my favorite dip and my sweet potato.

the best thing is once they are cooked (you may need to put them in a few times before you get a good result) you can cut them up into 'fries' certainly more healthy than crisps. i'm sure you could put other things in these toaster bags as well, the idea of them is to keep all the mess from burning in your toaster. you can basically put together a sandwich with cheese and ham and put in the 'technology' bag and away you go.

i've had some good results with them, because i got them so cheap i maybe clean and use them a few hundred times, you could probably use them more than that to be honest, i'm not sure what the material actually is.

i did consider buying every single toasterbag packet and doing the amazon arbitrage thing and hooking everyone up here with like a freebie coupon but it turns out I need to have an address where I have the package picked up from. they send out a courier to take the items into the warehouse, then you set the price in the app and boom. upsell, lots of people do it.

people think they are 'entrepreneurs' because they got a cheaper price elsewhere and then managed to convince you it was a good deal for a greater price. i guess convience wins over everything, amazon have that next day distribution on lock right?

if your a traveller, digital nomad, location independant and just looking to minimize things this might start you on a journey to enhance that EDC (every day carry) - i'm still building mine up but this is certainly one of the things going into my mobility kit.

hoped you enjoyed this little geek food episode, please resteem, comment and follow - that would be awesome. i'm relatively new to the platform but i already love it and the community here. everyone has been really supportive and i'm hoping to make myself a name for gifs and cinemagraphs here. i need a new camera but hopefully with steem support i'll get that early in the new year!

enjoy your sweet potato! xxx
