PAGKAING PINOY (TAMARINDO)

Hi guys, yesterday we made this kakanin which is called tamarindo ( which is actually Spanish word that is adopted here in the Philippines) and it is tamarind in English.

It is made of tamarind pods or sampalok in tagalog and sambag here in Cebu. You just need to cook the tamarind pods with water, sugar and a little bit of salt. Mix it together and just extract the seeds of the tamarind.
