A Slice of Heaven: Masa of Echo Park Chicago Pizza Review

in foodreview •  8 years ago

It's arguable that pizza might be one of the better inventions from our human race. Living in Los Angeles your options for exceptional pizza are endless. In fact, many smaller pizzerias have gone to become larger chains(800 degrees) for example. But of all the amazing different pizzas I can only award one the dubious honor of being the primo.

Masa in Echo Park gets the nod as being the champion. Anytime friends came to visit out of town, I'd always recommend this small family owned pizzeria. For any pizza loving Steemians in LA - or if you'll be visiting soon - you don't want to miss this!

Masa

Some of the highest quality ingredients I've ever had on a pizza. Everything in this pizza is organic and according to the waiter are also locally sourced when possible. The sausage is thick, juicy and could be a meal on it's own right. The home-made sauce has been passed on for generations. The combination of everything is a explosion in your mouth!

Besides the incredible pizza there is a full menu of different Italian Plates. The main dishes look incredible as well and all the pasts are made in-house.

The cheese blend is from another world. Often time a decent pizza the cheese becomes the most powerful flavor. In a good Chicago deep dish it's a complete meal.

Go ahead. I dare you to only eat one slice..
