Salad is one of the healthy foods for the body. But have you ever given variety of salads? Before giving extra food in a salad try to avoid these 3 ingredients to keep the salad healthy.
- Dried Fruits
You must be tempted by the taste of dried fruits such as Cranberries, Raisins and others. But do not let you mix into the salad. This is because in a quarter cup dry cranberries contain 18 grams of sugar and almost 100 calories.
If you want to add fruit in selad, just choose fresh fruit from the dried fruit.
- Bottle Dressing
There are many sauces that can add to the enjoyment of salads, such as mayonnaise, island, tartar sauce and more. But did you know that many salad dressing bottles contain omega 6 which can cause inflammation.
Better, make your own salad dressing. Try adding Virgin Coconut Oil or extra virgin oil and Balsamic. Lemon juice can also be an option.
- Anything deep fried
As with dried fruit, not to mushrooms, beans and carrots are given flour in the form of fried foods. Addition of fried vegetables can increase the saturated fat, calorie and inflammatory factors (IF) of your salad.
If you want to make a healthy salad, just add 2 tablespoons of your favorite nuts or seeds.
