BOUNCING BACK!

in football •  7 years ago  (edited)

In the previous game I was looking to bounce back from my performance against Bristol City. I was fully focused on this game against Watford because I wanted to prove to loads of people that I still have what it take to be a professional. I felt like I managed to so this in the game against Watford I started off the game well winning my individual battles and making sure that I was keeping everything simple, I managed to get myself on the scoresheet again with another goal this one meant a lot with what everyone was saying the week, I felt like it was a symbol to say ‘shhh I’m going to let the football do the talking just watch’ which I showed through the celebration by covering my whole mouth. I grew into the game with more confidence and was getting on the ball more where I do something extra but it all seemed to work out. I also listened to coaches advice after the Bristol City game where they said I wasn’t on the front foot enough I felt I was on the front foot much more than normal which meant I would win more balls through interceptions so we could start a counter attack.
I felt like this was the best response I could give from the game against Bristol City.

Many people said it was the best game they’ve seen me play, but the good thing for me would be to be consistent and take this performance into the next game which is the FA Youth Cup against reading which is a very big game and a big performance will be needed.

The game against Watford ended in a 4-0 win for us with me getting a goal and assist!

Onto the next game against reading.

Congrats mate! Getting on the scoresheet in a dominant win is the best way to respond. Good luck in the cup game :)

Thank you very much
