It has been a long time since the football leagues stopped activities for the summer hiatus. The last big game we had team wise was the Champion's League final, which fortunately for me was won by Liverpool. Then of course we have had the Women's World Cup, the Copa America, Copa de Oro and the soon to finish African Cup.
But frankly what keeps people active in the sport are the national championships, you know most people who like football follow a lot of leagues and have at least a working knowledge of how each league is going and it distracts and keeps people excited and active.
Well the European Leagues are not starting yet, but in my part of the world, Central America we at least will have something to watch, the Liga MX the Mexican league it starts tonight, well you know the US leagues have been active these months but for some reason these leagues don't interest me, I guess there are just too many teams and different leagues and it confuses me even though I have seen some very good games there. But the MX is a very good league, I would say one of the best in the whole American continent perhaps only slightly inferior to the Brazilian or Argentine league.
And you know I don't even watch that much football for some reason I can't watch a complete game I get bored but these days just knowing there were no games I was feeling bad. I guess all people who are fanatics are like that, because really why should I care about a game between two provincial say Italian teams and yet I do. I guess I am more of a fanatic than a follower.
