You really suggest benching Ronaldo? A player who has contributed so much in the last seasons. Ronaldo strikes fear in the opponent, just like Messi or Zlatan. But benching is basically destroying your own networth (from a more businesslike point of view).
Some substitutes should help. But benching your star would be suicide for the career of the coach. Even Zidane. And thirteen points is a serious gap and would require luck to bridge, but it aint over until the fat lady sings.
I didn't say to bench Ronaldo for the rest of the season, but just for one game. I don't know if you watched the game against celta vigo, but he was invisible. Just to show him that Real Madrid has great players.
