"Welcome to the First Monthly Challenge for a Better Philippines!"
In cooperation with @SteemPH and @SteemPH.Iligan, I am honored to present to you the First Monthly Challenge for a Better Philippines which will tackle one of the serious problems in our country which is the IMPROPER GARBAGE SEGREGATION.
Already, there are existing government & private sectors like DENR & other NGOs concerning this but I strongly believe they’ll be more empowered with the dedication and cooperation of its citizens. Regulations such as the R.A. 9003 which mandates the implementation of proper waste segregation and collection in barangay level will be more effective if we instill discipline and together solve the problem.
In my post “GARBAGE PROBLEM IN THE PHILIPPINES”, I proposed a simple solution addressing this problem by instilling appreciation and discipline unto people towards their waste. My suggestion is to simply put values on all types of solid wastes and giving rewards to every household who’ve followed it. These rewards can be used as payments to government bills, electric bills, medication bills, tuition fee, grocery etc. My primary objective there, was to reduce the amount of garbage that ends up in dumpsites through proper segregation.
So for our first challenge, I want you to briefly discuss this specific problem and propose a solution addressing “PROPER GARBAGE SEGREGATION”.
But before you participate in this challenge, make sure that you understand the rules and regulation of this event. I want you to read the “GUIDELINES OF THIS EVENT” first.
Post your solutions with the PRIMARY tags #forbetterphilippines, #steemph, and #philippines. You can then comment the link of your entry in the comment section below. As much as possible, please limit your article up to 300 to 500 words. If 500 words aren’t enough to explain your suggestion, then you may extend it up to 600 words only.
The title of your entry should be Addressing Philippine Problem Monthly Challenge #1: “Your Title”.
Example: Addressing Philippine Problem Monthly Challenge #1: “Instilling Appreciation & Discipline towards Wastes”
