To forgive and let go of wrongs done is a virtue anyone who possess should hold on to and not let to slip away. Ordinarily, i does not require one to minimize the wrong or pretend it never happened.
I once heard of the story of a young pastor who was an ardent follower in the new church he just joined upon leaving the former area he was domiciled in with his family.
He joined the new church not because he had issues with his former church but because distance is making him go through a lot with his family.
As time went on, he became an active member and from there a key worker in the church cabinet. Soon his spiritual exploit became a talk amongst church councils.
There was a groaning that nearly turned the church upside down. They began to ask jealous questions such as: when did this man joined us that he has taken over?
This question started to brew envy in the church administration. The set man and his wife were not left out of this jealousy as though he was taking over the church and the heart of the congregation. All these never moved the man as he kept on trusting on God who had called him out of darkness.
He continued to do these spiritual exploits of liberating men.
Soon he was demoted within the church councils and direct ministring roles were taken away from him. He still did not complain. A time came when it became too much for him to bear as accusations and counter accusations became the order of the day. This family decided to leave the church for awhile, but this issues will not stop as it became more tougher. Several meetings were held by members who could not hold the fact that this minister no longer comes to church.
During this time, his wife was heavily pregnant with few weeks to deliver. One thing that keeps happening was the pastorate gathering to pray against the delivery of the baby and death of the mother. This is a prayer of witchcraft in broad day light I thought. They even went as far as telling the landlord to eject them from their house. Gosh, this people have gone extra far this time.
As weeks passes by Prophecy started coming from different areas about a planned attack of his family by a righteous-fallaway pastorate. This becoming more real I thought!
Finally, she gave birth and this same people are now asking for a chance to name the baby. What?
