the upside down world of e-sports today and the kids that are winning millions.

I watched a couple of young teens take home $3 million in prize money yesterday for getting first position after a bunch of fortnite games. Who says playing games can’t make you money and set you up for life?

Life can sometimes feel like the upside down (stranger things) when you see a bunch of these kids/teens under 16 playing games like fortnite, scrimming for eight hours a day (basically practicing) and then going to a massive contest like this in New York city to be titled the best players in the world in the first World Cup!

total prize pool for the event,
$30 million dollars. . ..

Even just turning up and qualifying for the top 100 players (duos) got you $50k so everyone walked away with a changed up life and with enough for collage, pc gaming and internet upgrades and a generation of kids now being setup for a little while ;) — it’s both incredible and insane at the same time, I truly see for the first time that these things plant seeds that really anything is possible in this life!

Today it’s gonna be the singles players I think over on

— you should totally tune in and see where the future of e-sports is going and what big brands, clans and technology partners are investing in these days to get their message out there!

even fifth place, a 15 year old kid from the west coast walked away with $900k in his duo pairing! Combined together with another set of duos that also got 3rd position that meant together both duo squads (who play under the @100thieves clan) walked away with $2.7 million combined.

And that’s where these new companies and e-sports teams are building media empires with 100 thieves leading the charge, they just secured $35 million for their company and are building out a HQ in LA with a retail unit.

With a place for scrimming, social media production and youtube all under one roof — taking the web portal element of a brand and humanising into a physical location where you can buy gear, find out the history of the squads and cut down on expenses if you turn your org into a startup with multiple revenue streams under one roof.

It’s this massive diversification that is opening the doors for the new wave of media companies that we are about to see — with different arms bringing in revenue from content scouts picking up the best potential talent to selling cutting edge apparel and attracting big name investors like drake, scooter brawn and more to accelerate these companies.

All they need now is the crypto token component, maybe a front-end and a forum and they would be set right? — maybe steam-engine and d.tube folks need to be building teams who can rapidly build out ‘care packages’ for these big orgs to add to their ever expanding portfolios.. ..

I mean, they have the money! :))
