Epic Games have released the notes for the V5.0 content update. Yesterday, Epic updated their in-game news tab to announce a new SMG was coming to the game with a fast rate of fire and improved mobility.
Two new weapons make their way into Save the World and Battle Royale. Try these new additions for yourself in the v5.0 Content Update.
Submachine Gun (Battle Royale)
Make enemies think twice before they push you. Run and gun with the new Submachine Gun, ideal for those intense close range battles.
Typewriter Assault Rifle (Save the World)
If the pen is mightier than the sword then what does that make the Typewriter Assault Rifle? This high capacity weapon takes the cake when it comes to Husk clearing!

WEAPONS + ITEMS
Submachine Gun added.
Available in Common, Uncommon, and Rare variants.
19-21 base damage.
Uses Light Ammo.
30 round capacity.
Can be found in floor loot and chests.
Tactical SMG has been added to the Vault.
Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle damage increased to 75/78 from 63/66.
