Hoplophoneus Primaevus, Fossil Saber Tooth Cat

A Hoplophoneus Primaevus is a prehistoric animal that most refer to as a saber cat. Despite the name saber cat, they are not cats at all and instead are nimravids. The Hoplophoneus p. lived during the oligocene epoch, 34 to 23 million years ago.

I collected this specimen from my fossil ranch in north western Nebraska a few years ago. Here is all of the animal that I got, a few ribs, some leg bones and some vertabrae
