Just started playing SteemNova, a browser based strategy game with some other people on Steemit. Eventually you’re supposed to be able to earn Steem and SBD managing your planet in a massive Universe with lots of potential players. Feel free to join us, our Alliance nickname is “Earn”.

So with this new game in mind, and the awesome artwork prompt, I wrote something that could be right out of Star Wars . . .

My Entry:

Someday Princess Aisha would govern the Kingdom that ruled the Galaxy. Her family line had been in power for over a millennium. Detailed records existed in the Main Library, chronicling the rise of her family from humble beginnings to leading the Galactic Empire. Of course, the whole thing began with a war. The most advanced civilizations always occupy the inner core of planets closest to the black hole of a galaxy’s core. Her “whatever-grandfather” led a rebellion of civilized outer planets, with the aid of technology from the Orion Galaxy, to subdue the oppressive ruling party at the time. The Orion Galaxy would collide with Princess Aisha’s Galaxy in a couple-of-hundred light years. Prophets say that’s when her family line will lose control over the galaxy, as a new age of uncertainty sets in. Even with cooperation from leaders in the Orion Galaxy, they will not be able to control the chaos caused by the collision of the two galaxies, and the disruption of current resource distribution pathways. This will allow smaller players to take a bigger piece of the pie. No matter how prepared these galactic civilizations believe themselves to be with countless computers simulating the event that surprisingly predicts very few collisions between solar systems; they can never fully appreciate the scale of this cosmic event until they are in the thick of it. And at that time, greed and envy will inspire someone to take control of both systems. Princess Aisha now sat on the 53rd floor of her University neglecting her studies as these thoughts overwhelmed her.
