BRIOUDE 
Le peloton du Tour s’est réuni en 2008 à Brioude mais c’était pour un départ d’étape. En 2013, c’est une étape de Paris-Nice qui était remportée en ville par Andrew Talansky pendant que le jeune Brivadois Romain Bardet se distinguait en prenant la 6e place du jour. Quelques mois plus tard, le coureur d’AG2R La Mondiale disputait son premier Tour de France. Il termine en 15e position et meilleur représentant français.
The peloton of the Tour gathered in Brioude in 2008 for the start of a stage that would be won several hours later by Luis León Sánchez in Aurillac. In 2013, a stage of Paris-Nice had been claimed in town by Andrew Talansky, while young city native Romain Bardet distinguished himself by taking 6th spot on the day. A few months later, the AG2R rider took part in his first Tour de France, finishing the event as the best French rider in 15th position.
