Learn to Code with FreeCodeCamp.org

Today I was watching The TWiT.tv show FLOSS Weekly and the guest was from FreeCodeCamp.org. Which offers free code classes to anyone that wants to learn to code!

I was intrigued by the guest so I went over to visit the site. And they offer the following. HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, Databases, GitHub, Node.js, React.js and D3.js. If you're just starting out learning to code. All of these can be useful.

If you look at the corriculum you can see how its structured. Each section is about 300 hours worth of learning. Plus you get a certification at the end. Very cool.

Here I signed up to see what they would be teaching you. And as you can see. The lessons start out easy.

You begin with your standard Hello World and learn about the headings and paragraph tags for HTML. You write the code in the code editor. Which, as an added bonus, seems to be a IDE with smart tag prediction!

From the short time I looked at this. I'd say this is a pretty cool way to learn to code. I might even give it a try.
