To bully someone is to try to affect their attitude or behavior through intimidation or threat. This implies the use of some superior force. By definition, there is no organization of force superior to government. Every law it passes is backed by the threat of force. Predictably, government bullying is not restricted to its “official” and stated purposes. Because they create arbitrary authority, governments encourage bullying by individuals who can use authority against people, like police, bureaucrats, and politicians.
Children are great at learning by example. The bullies on the playground are most often the children of parents who bully them. Telling children that government is good conditions them to be bullies. When we vote for politicians (who at best, manage institutional bullying, and at worst, are horrific bullies themselves) but tell our children not to bully, we send a clear message: “Do as I say, not as I do.” Not only does this insult the intelligence of our children, it doesn’t work. They learn that if it’s fine for government to be a bully, it’s fine for them to be bullies.
This creates a general culture of bullying in which relationships are tainted by coercion and intimidation. It is easily identified when it takes a physical form, but the emotional forms are just as destructive. People who bully emotionally are sure to have far less satisfying relationships than those who relate to others with respect. A society dominated by institutional bullying and hypocrisy will surely produce more bullies.
Chapter 8 Section IV From FREEDOM! by Adam Kokesh
I am the author of FREEDOM!, a book endorsed (I mean banned) by the US Department of “Justice.” You can get a copy here. I’m running for Not-President in 2020 on the platform of the peaceful, orderly, and responsible dissolution of the United States federal government. You can find out more here. You can find an event near you here. Whoever has the top comment on this post after 24 hours can claim a free signed copy of FREEDOM! by sending me a message with their address.
I never thought of it that way, but it makes perfect sense. I grew up in the lower levels of society. Raised by a single mother, not even meeting my father until the age of 13. I hated my mother from a very early age, blaming all the hypocrisy I witnessed on her and she deserved a large part of that blame. "Do as I say, not as I do" was the normal parenting technique and largely still is. Children want to grow up, so they can benefit from the perceived perks of adulthood, only to be dissapointed. Because of my awareness of the hypocrisy of control, coupled with living in poverty and a broken family, I rebelled. This caused the government to get involved when I was twelve. This same hypocrisy was witnessed at this higher level as well. See, I also had two younger brother's, who copied me. We all ended up in state care. I was to be in the system for 10 more years. Essentially, we children were being punished for having shitty parents. My mom lived on welfare, being completely dependent upon the system, so had zero opportunity to purchase the help of attorneys. I lashed out, determined to be treated as an equal at all costs. To this I employed the philosophy of "Might Makes Right". If I felt disrespected, you were assaulted. I didn't care about your title, whether you could take more of my freedom away or not. I assaulted friend, foe, eventually my father and probation officer, etc.. I ended up being in every type of juvenile program they had available. Instead of listening to me and trying to work with me, because as a child, what did I know? Even if I knew something, I was just supposed to do as I am told. I ended up turning 18 in the adult justice system and eventually going on to earning a prison number. All this could have been avoided if our system was based in mutual concern, courtesy and compassion, but government is an institution. Compassion is too costly. We must change the system if we want to save the species and ultimately the planet. So @adamkokesh, while don't agree on everything you state, we need people like you in our positions of power to bring humanity back into society and the management of it. Keep up the fight, my brother. We can make a difference. This begins at the governmental level, so we can cause it to trickle down to our youth. The way to fix society is by raising our kids to be real, compassionate, critical thinkers and to be voluntary stewards of life. Not to force your will upon others. We must learn to enjoy life and all it's unknowns, instead of fearing it, which is the current teaching methods. "Don't go into the woods alone, the boogey man will get you". Once you become an adult, the boogey man is government.

To have any kind of control over government, you need the following to happen:
a. return to paper ballets for elections
b. a truly free press, not the propaganda centers we have now
c. a 10 yr moratorium on any paying government activity after leaving government position
d. term limits on all elected positions
e. no exclusions on who may apply for any government position
I realize that these would take something drastic to happen in our society before they would begin to be implemented. However, you never know. Each small action in support of freedom helps. Think of each act as a flea bite to the bully. Individually the bully can crush you easily. But think of thousands of those flea bites. Millions even. You could drive the bully crazy and eventually kill it. Death by a million bites. So go out and bite a bully today.

I have not voted since they removed the "none of the above" option in the UK, by definition if over 50% of the population refuse to vote, then should the government not be disbanded, and a new idea put forward? if this was possible, I would imagine voting going down to almost zero, well I live in hope anyway, and this is just my opinion.
Keep right on Adam, onwards and upwards.

Role models play a very significant role in shaping the beliefs and actions of young people. Governments definitely shape the actions of residents and youth. The problem is shifting from within. A very large shift is needed to begin to prevent bullying.

There are many people in our society who do not say anything wrong in front of us. If we are aware then we can not suppress others. Soon we all swear that no social opponent will keep society.so thanks for given good information.upvote and resteemed now @adamkokesh

Intimidation within the community by the government makes a big fear because the public is lacking protection while inter-individual intimidation can call for help from the police or the government, I think that's my simple opinion @adamkokesh

Indeed Adam.
My daughter goes to a public charter school here in Portland,Oregon where her teacher imparts similar dissonance with identity politics. Ms. Wolff (teacher) will rant about equality and diversity and talk garbage about everyone she would never vote for but stops short of revealing her actual politics as though my daughter isn't intelligent enough to go through her own process of elimination to discover what her teacher is actually saying.
Ivy (my daughter) spoke up in class yesterday when her teacher went off about the disparities of a white man being let off the hook for the same thing that a black man was charged for in another circumstance. My daughter pointed out that this particular case may have not been right or fair and then followed up by letting her teacher know that she is always talking about not issuing judgements based on race but then hypocritically walks on herself whenever discussing people of European descent.
We raise Ivy to esteem people on their merit and character and strive to provide a framework for recognizing blatant falsehood and to be self reliant. This is proving to be quite a problem for the education tyrants and if we can just get it to spread so that more kids step up then we may have a fair fight on our hands.
Thankfully she only goes to school 4 days a week and I work from home so I get to direct her education on Fridays and point her toward leaders like yourself, Ron Paul, Jordan Petersen, Camille Paglia etc. It doesn't say much about the staying power of her education indoctrination when a few hours of potent insight can stave off the onslaught of double-think.
Thank you for being who you are. Keep up the great work.

There is so much that needs fixing in the way we raise new generations..I never thought that children might be able to understand the hypocrisy with relation to the government but I think you're right and while they might not think of the government per say, they do understand the 'authorities' which include the government, police, teachers, parents, anyone who has control over them. We've chained our children with so many restrictions on so many levels that they MUST rebel at some point or suffer emotional problems. I would call it suffocation. But I digress, your point about bullying is well taken, just one aspect of the social tyranny to which we subject our children and then wonder what went wrong when they turn to violence and drugs.
