Escape from the Matrix!

in freedom •  7 years ago  (edited)

I remember myself about seven years ago... I knew absolutely nothing about this world. But I was lucky enough to meet the right people who opened my eyes and showed me what is really behind the scenes. Then I went through a long process of awakening with a lot of mistakes and delusions. Actually, I'm still on the road. But now I want to share what I've learned so far. This is just a small list of tips, but it can be really helpful for some people.

The Matrix?

The Matrix is surrounding you. Your job, your house, your friends and even your desires and feelings are the Matrix. This is a big shared hallucination in which we are all stuck. Matrix is our life itself and there is the only way out, you know what this is 💀. It turns out that I deceived you in the title? Well, yes, you can't escape it. But what you really can do is to make the Matrix respect you, make your relationship more like a partnership and be in total control of your life. That's what I call Freedom. And I think the biggest crime that one can commit is to know about this opportunity and ignore it, fall asleep again and let the Matrix to absorb him or herself.

Blade Runner. Who we are - humans or robots?

The Code of Freedom

  1. Understand what you are dealing with. Watch the following movies (if you haven't seen them yet): The Matrix, The Truman Show, Equilibrium, Apocalypse Now, Enter the Void, The Slacker.
  2. Avoid people who make you feel guilty, or complain to you. This is called energy vampirism. Remember your past conversations, maybe you were the victim. You will have to gain courage because It can be even your close friends or family. At least limit the number of such contacts.
  3. If you have a regular day job, try to quit it as soon as possible. At work you are in a position of submission, when your energy is used by others for their own purposes. The goal is to minimize all possible energy leaks.

  4. Don't eat dead food. It should be understood literally, so exclude from your diet all meat products and possibly animal protein (eggs, milk & cheese). This food consumes so much energy during digestion. Go vegan, it feels great!
  5. Start your own business or self-employment. What are you most interested in? What could you do every day without even having a profit? Just do it, share and people will appreciate your talents soon.
  6. Join the crypto community (you are already in, steemian!). This is a new economy of the future. Believe me, here you will find the most conscious and progressive people on the planet.
  7. Don't do something just because you “should” or because other person tells you to do. Everybody has equal rights, there is no higher or lower status in nature. Do what you really want to.
  8. Study the frame control. You will fall into a lot of situations where your frame will be attacked by others. Don't let them win! The Matrix will try to get you back through these situations. Here is a great explanation of Frames: Oren Klaff - Frame Control
  9. Use psychedelics as an emergency button. But don't rely on them, It may end badly.
  10. Go beyond the material needs. All we need wealth and fame to some degree but, the life can provide you much more. I'm talking about spiritual development.

How about your rules of life? How do you achieve freedom? I'd like to hear your thoughts!

Great detailed post. I woke up in Summer 2012 and I am so grateful to be outside the system. It's weird now looking at how I used to be in it. The fear, constant worry etc. Anyway, glad I've started moving towards freedom. In my life I have given up alcohol, as much dead food as possible and moaning people. I home school my 2 boys and try to teach some of the matrix/system type work (only so they don't stick out like a sore thumb) but then also explain the more expanded side that is kept from us. I try as often as poss to try and get people to see a different way, meditate, don't gossip and go down the low vibe route (it feeds the consciousness of that system that keeps it going). Man if everyone would just see whats happening to them - little by little our freedoms taken. Thing is its hard going against the grain, people think I'm the mad one. At least I feel free in my mind now, that's worth the isolation of being different to the majority x

Thank you! Actually, I think that those who are "mad" in the opinion of society are just open-minded people. I'm glad that you are already on The Lighter Side of the Force.

Yes definitely, I'm glad they think I'm mad and that I'm on the lighter side of the force :)

Haha

LOVED the Truman show. Kinda makes you wonder if the same thing is happening to us.

That was certainly a thought provoking film, and many people do say that Hollywood often drop big hints about the unknown and the "real reality" into many films, like they're playing with us or something. Makes you wonder if there is some grain of truth in The Truman Show. In fact I think I'll watch it again this evening. It's been a while.

Yeah, great movie! I've watched it several times.

Funny. I just wrote a post about the matrix lat night !!

Agree with all you say, but in many cases it's very difficult or impossible to do, especially if you have commitments like family to look after (talking about the quitting job part of your post). I fully agree about changing diet, but I'm a fine one to talk about that. I have tried ditching meat and alcohol and junk food, and I definitely feel better for it. But daily life always smacks me down and I end up choosing convenience over health.

As for energy vampires - hell yes. Avoid them like crazy. Sadly I have a few in my life in immediate family, and it's not easy to get away from them. I can only try to minimise it.

A lot to consider in what you said and I agree that anyone should try it if they can pull it off.

Ideas are in the air! About quitting a job - I think It depends on how hard you try. After several attempts, you will win.

Sure. I've been in internet marketing for years while working a day job, but haven't made it work enough to quit. But despite numerous failures I'm still at it and will never give up. It's what I want. You can never quit on your dreams.
