This rhetoric is looking dangerously close to that used by pedophiles to push the idea that children are capable of choosing to have sexual relations with adults, which is absolutely untrue. So, while I am in favor of children learning to develop and exercise autonomy, we must do so while also prioritizing the safety and well being of children in a society full of adult predators. Please explain how children will be protected from predators and pedophiles.
