Bill Drafted in North Dakota Allowing Concealed Carry Without Permit

A Bismarck representative is aiming for passage this session of a bill allowing North Dakota residents to carry a concealed firearm without a permit.

Rep. Rick Becker, R-Bismarck, said House Bill 1169 would add North Dakota to the growing list of several states which already allow its residents to do so. The concept, known as constitutional carry, allows people to carry concealed or openly a handgun without a government permit.

“It brings us closer to the intent of the constitution,” said Becker,

I couldn't agree more with Mr. Becker about this bring us closer to the intent of the constitution. A free man has the right and duty in my mind to carry a weapon to defend himself and others. A free man has the right to choose whether he wants to openly display his weapon or conceal it. Laws are for law abiding citizen, criminals don't follow the law and this new law will only allow law abiding citizens to defend themselves better.

If North Dakota adopts this it would be the 11th state to have a constitutional carry law and would be another blow to the liberal gun grabbers.

I hope this passes so I have an excuse to buy a new gun :)

We have constitutional carry here in Arizona.

congrats.

Now the only thing is ensuring reciprocity with other states that don't demand that people beg for permission.

Right, or some sort of 'tax stamp' required before you can excise your freedom.
