How much gas does a generator need to run for 8 hrs. Free sbd/steem on my posts

We have a propane generator and it will run for 8 hrs on those small propane tanks that a grill uses. Costs $17-20 to fill up. Curious to know how much gas it usually takes to run a gas generator?

    Much of the 'cost' to run will come down to how much power you are drawing from the generator.
    I found this on the model that you posted.

    The fuel tank is 6.3 Gallons (24 litres), so compare that with how much you get in the cylinders.

    At the full rated draw of 4500W it says it can run for 7.5 hours, whereas at half draw (2250W) it can run for up to 11.

    I only have basic generator knowledge but hope this helps :)

      I have a Honda EU2000i it runs a 8000 BTU air conditioner for 5-6 hours on 1.1 gallons of gasoline. A definite hit with offgridders. In fact one of the best machines that I ever bought! Inverter generators kick a$$.

        Yeah, there is a really cool champion generator for 8-900 dollars that will run a long time. When my Honda dies I will buy one of those.
