This is the titel of the amazing video below by "Practical Psychology" I stumbled upon few days ago!
The thumbnail might not look too great, yet the video is worth watching.
Summary:
The author of the video states that nowadays we need a lot less time to meet our caloric needs. Back in the days it might took as ours to find and eat a meal. Today with delivery services and grocery shops we obviously do not "waste" as much time on preparing and eating anymore.
Therefore we never in history had that much free time as we do today. Most of this time though is wasted on watching TV, or looking down on our phone and few other things as stated in the video. See my article I wrote about smartphone addcition here: https://goo.gl/NPFKXT
1. Exercise:
this is really important. Studies show that people who work out have more energy throughout the day, which is crucial to not just wanting to sit around and watch Netflix.
2. Reading:
Educate yourself on topics you are interested in. Real life knowledge like social skills, diet and fitness are pretty much non existence in the general population. By reading just three books on one subject you will know more than 99% of the population.
3. Meditate:
Mediation has been proven to be extremely beneficial. It is crucial to become a happier person and to have more mental energy throughout the day.
4. Hobby/Passion:
something that brings out a sort of excitement in you! This is your source of fulfillment.
