I still remember that golden sunset.
And that place we were when we first met.
I still see you from time to time,
but in the arms of someone else, not mine.

I still remember those sparkling eyes,
The tears I would wipe, whenever you'd cry.
Your charming smile, and jet black hair.
Once you were mine, now you don't care.

At night I sometimes look up at the sky,
And wonder why all of this was a lie.
I sit all alone, don't care if I cry,
While over and over asking that one question, Why?

I sometimes think that if it was meant to be,
You wouldn't have done those things to me.
But since It's hopeless, I really don't care.
If he makes you happy, then I think that's fair.

Now I sat alone in that place when we first met,
watching the fading golden sunset.
Watching a couple cuddle the way they do,
my heart aches a little, when the girl in that couple, was you.
