The flight attendant sashays on down the aisle.
"Coffee? Tea? Soft drink?"
She gets to my seat. I'm about to wave her away, but then-
"Coffee? Tea? Icepick to the brain?"
I stare at her dumbfounded. She smiles sweetly at me.
"Nothing sir? Okay then."
And with that she continues on her merry way. I look around at the other passengers but no one is reacting at all. By now she's made it a few seats down but I can still hear her voice.
"Coffee? Tea? A kick in the crotch?"
Nobody notices.
This is a #freewrite exercise written in 5 minutes from the writing prompt "Airplane". I also created the image - that took about 5 minutes as well, give or take. You can view the post for the prompt here, as well as all of the entries, there's a lot of good writing there.
It's dark but also cute. I like it.
