It's already been a while since I've been in San Diego. We used to have a house in University City and a condo in Mission Gorge that we rented out. Why am I saying it in a post about rice and beans? Because in Mission Gorge there was one little restaurant, rather a standout by the name of "Fiesta" that sold absolutely subline burritos.
Usually, burritos include beef, vegetable, rice, and beans. It's fattening, but very tasty.
This place though didn't include rice and beans. Only tenderest beef and stewed vegetables: peppers, tomatoes and something else. They also did their own hot sauce.
As I say, it was subline. Ah... memories.
