Sunburn And The Switch (The Green Mile Gone Wrong) 5 Minute Freewrite

Prompt: Sunburn

Switch was yesterday's prompt, but happens to find its way into the story.

Was it sunburn? No, someone pressed the switch by accident. They were told not to. They were told it was a matter of life and death. However, old habits die hard, and unfortunately the switch was pushed.

It was just meant to be a dress rehearsal. Take someone off the street and offer them a few hundred dollars. All they had to do was sit in a chair. An electric chair to be precise. But the button was pushed. This is The Green Mile gone wrong. We have a cooked member of the public.

“He's a bit….dead.”

“Let's get ourselves out of this mess.”

What do they do? There are 3 possibilities.

This is the Green Mile gone wrong, therefore there's a big guy with weird supernatural powers. His execution date hasn't been set yet. He could bring him back to life.
This is a story. We could set this in a Warner Bros cartoon world. The victim is therefore not dead. Instead, he's just a little sunburnt.
I've actually forgotten the third point. Accidentally killing someone tends to have this affect.

Let's try possibility number 1.

“If I could bring people back to life, then I wouldn't be here,” says the convict with supernatural powers.

“You raise a good point,” said the chief warden. “We'll have to go with number 2. Warner Bros cartoon.”

“That's all folks.”

Just one thing.

I’ve remembered the original 3rd idea after all. Maybe the auto spell could change the story. The man is in fact attached to an electronica chair. However, I think this idea is a bit silly.
