5min Freewrite - quit

Prompt: quit

• Set your timer for 5 minutes
• Start writing

Quitting is not a popular thing. We are often encouraged to never, never, never quit. Whenever we do quit we feel as if we failed. It leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. And in our hearts, we are desperately considering how to avoid doing it again.

When a coach motivates a team, it is one of the things that is often emphasised. We do not quit. We never quit. After the game, even if the team lost, the coach will often say, We lost, but at least we did not give up. We did not quit!

But there are times that we should quit. It would be better if the guy in the picture quit immediately. It would be better if you quit smoking. Or overeating. Or...

There are times you should quit. Do you know when those times arrive?
