Brahmin or vegetarian?

Is being vegetarian different from being a Brahmin? Yes, it definitely is. To the world, 'Brahmin's' are just vegetarians, but not to we Indians. For us they are a community of people who are much superior than other caste.

India's fixation for caste dates back to the time of may be dinosaur's age. I wonder if Dino's in India has divided themswlves on the basis of their superiority. Caste is the only thing that divides we Indians. Things were much difficult earlier when people were discriminated on the basis of caste. Lower caste people were prohibited from entering temples and other public places where upper caste people frequented. Dr B R Ambedkar was quiet instrumental in uplifting the status of the lower caste people. They were given reservation and job opportunity, which they are taking advantage of even in the present time.

During the olden days, Brahmins were mostly priests and so they were vegetarians. Priests were considered of higher respect as they dealt with God, things are different now. Priests are no less than money hungry monsters, but still they consider themselves superior.

The reason for this post is an advertisement that has been making rounds on the internet. Basically it is a catering company that is promising patrons authentic 'Brahmin food'. Now I wonder what Brahmins eat. Are Brahmins not supposed to eat vegetarian food, if yes, then why didn't they just mention vegetarian instead of Brahmin.

While many claimed that Brahmin food means it is prepared by the holy hands of Brahmins only, but then the vegetables come from random farms that are cultivated by random farmers. What is the guarantee for authenticity of vegetables.

I wonder where and when this will stop. When will India get over this caste system? When will the reservation system come to an end? Sad that some questions don't have any answers.
