I had to travel to the Austin Highway Event Center today to take some plants for the plant exchange tomorrow.
The plant exchange is the busiest part of the Festival of Flowers. People bring plants, mostly seedlings, to trade for tickets. Most starter plants are worth one ticket. I took 17 plants for the exchange tomorrow. So once you get your tickets, you use them to buy plants that other people brought.
Plants in 6" pots cost 4 tickets. Last year Debbie got a nice aloe vera, that is thriving today. I'm hoping to pick up something cool. We'll see.
I'll be taking the truck tomorrow so I can load up with the plants that didn't sell. 🌻
