It’s nice to be doing freewrites again 😊 This one's pretty short for the five minutes, but maybe I'll build upon it sometime.
Falling through a black void, I hit a warm surface with a heavy thud. Regaining my senses, I pressed my hand against the glass-like floor beneath me. As I sat up I noticed the darkness was interrupted by small twinkles of starlight blue. Blinking revealed more of the lights. Looking down I noticed strands of the neon blue gently travelled beneath me. More glowing paths on the walls and ceiling made the space a corridor, a dim green resting in the shadows. Highlighted by the occasional golden strand, it stretched as far as I could see. With a nervous smile I stood up on the smooth surface above the currents. I’d made it to Cyberspace at last.
I considered writing something about Christmas, but I liked the prompt of ‘cyberspace’ too much to not use it. So thinking about a winter in cyberspace inspired the blue sparkles (digital snow?) which became an introduction to a cyber world.
I am glad that you enjoyed this one...
