Do you buy fruit in bulk only to spoil it because it hasn't been touched for a long time? Or maybe you're looking for a way to preserve your favorite fruit as an alternative to freezing and thawing. Freeze-dried fruit is a great option for those looking for a healthy alternative to candy and other salt- and sugar-rich snacks. While many store-bought dried fruits claim to be nutrient-dense, many contain preservatives that can sometimes destroy and eliminate important nutrients. To this end, freeze dryer candy machine are not only more economical, but save the heartache of eating so-called healthy snacks

Freeze drying is an ancient process of preserving fruit, dating back hundreds of years. Freeze drying is cultivated by drying food in the sun. This tradition has existed for a long time in East Asia, South America and Northern Europe, where winters are very cold and the altitudes are very high as a means of quick drying of the fruit. Today, freeze-drying technology is more cutting-edge, and many food brands utilize this technology to preserve food without losing nutrients.

Energy and nutrition are important factors in the drying process. Some other ways to ensure the best quality and taste include:

(1) Osmotic dehydration - partial removal of water from plant tissue.

(2) Vacuum drying - use a vacuum device to remove moisture.

(3) Superheated steam drying - the use of hot steam exceeding the boiling point as a method of removing water.

(4) Heat pump drying - dehumidifies and recirculates the air. Best for heat-sensitive foods.

(5) Spray drying - rapid drying with hot air to make powder from food.

Teach you how to use a freeze dryer to make fruit freeze-dried?

➩Step 1: Pick fruits with high water content.

●Apples, berries, grapes, peaches and pears are among the most popular options for freeze drying. However, you can also use bananas, kiwi, mango, pineapple, citrus, or anything else you might want to enjoy in the future.

● Foods that contain a lot of water tend to be the easiest to handle. When you freeze them, they freeze, which helps maintain their structure as the water slowly evaporates.

➩Step 2: Wash and dry your fruit.

● Put the fruit in a colander or wire strainer and run it under cool water. Work to remove as much dirt, debris, and waxy residue as possible. When done, pat the fruit dry with a folded layer of paper towels or a clean dry towel.

● It is important to dry your fruit thoroughly before proceeding. Starting with wet fruit increases the amount of ice that must evaporate during the freezing process, causing the dehydration process to take longer.

➩Step 3: Place the food in the freeze dryer tray

(Note: Make sure the food does not exceed the height of the tray)

If possible, arrange your fruit so that there is a little space between each slice. It's okay if the edges touch, but try not to squeeze on the pan as this can cause sticking. More space means better airflow, and better airflow means less freezing time.

You can also place fruit on a metal cooling or drying rack, as long as the fruit is large enough to not slip through the gaps.

➩Step 4: Put tray in dryer and close door

Freeze food between -40 and -50 degrees and allow 24 hours for the process to complete.

➩Step 5: After 24 hours, the fresh and delicious fruit freeze-dried is complete! When finished, freeze-dried fruit in a ziplock bag or storage jar and keep it in an airtight container.
