I'll be posting my favourite songs on Fridays from now on under the #friday-music tag. Not necessarily every Friday but at least every now and then. I'll focus on especially bands that are more or less unknown for the most of the world. Of course you can do the same – introduce your favourites to the Steem community! Great way to kickstart the weekend.

Today we have Hurriganes. Simple but great rock'n roll with attitude. They were known especially for their live shows so here are some clips from their gig in Tavastia club, Helsinki in 1974.

They played lots of covers. Here is one classic: Blue Suede Shoes

Fun fact: Singer-drummer Remu Aaltonen didn't speak English. But because all real rock'n roll bands sing in English, they had to do it too. Bassist Cisse Häkkinen wrote English words for Remu like they would be pronounced in Finnish so that's how he learned to sing in English.

My favourite of all Hurriganes songs: Get On

Fun fact: Guitarist Albert Järvinen was one of the best Finnish guitarists ever. He played also in several other bands and once English musician Lemmy Kilmister produced a single for Albert Järvinen Band and also sang in it.
