My Time With Bestie @akielle 2019... Lunch By The Sea... [PART 3/3] <3

What's up beautiful people!
It's me, Shei... and this time I'm going to show you the last part of this long post.

If you haven't read the previous "My Time With Bestie @akielle 2019" posts feel free to check out below:

If in the first part, I shared the very first day we spent time this year and in the second part, you witnessed some activities that we did... this time, I'm gonna show you the last day we spent together this year.

Her flight back to the US was last December 29th at night. On that day, my guy best friend's baby was baptized as a Christian so I had to attend the event as I am one of his godparents. The Christening was held around 11AM and immediately after it would be the reception or small party at my guy best friend's house.

I chose not to go to the reception because I wanted to spend more time with bestie before she leaves. So, I asked my gy best friend if I can be exempt from going to the reception. Upon hearing the reason, he allowed me to do so. Anyway, my presence during the ceremony is more important than that in the after party. To be honest, I also don't really like gatherings, so yeah...

After the Christening, I went home to change clothes and headed to my bestie's place. We decided to go to the beach area to have our lunch. It was a Sunday, and there'll be some food stalls by the beach. And so, we dug in. <3

This is located in our city. Do you remember the beach where I usually go jogging at? I often post pictures of the sunrise from this place.

There are various reasons why we came to eat in this place. One is that, we don't have a lot of time left before she leaves for the airport, second, she wanted to eat "Ginabot" which I'll be introducing below and third, we both love our city, Talisay City. <3

Now, let me show you what we had for lunch that day. :)

It's hanging rice!!! It's called puso (poo-SOH) in our dialect. It's rice cooked by wrapping it inside a woven casing made from coconut leaves and boiling it. In this picture, it was already taken out from its casing, but you can actually see them in the previous pictures.

Lechon! It's roasted pig. Cebu is known for its roasted pig, but our city has the best lechon in Cebu. :) We even have a "Lechon Festival" every October. :) It's not so healthy, but it's a must-try.

And finally, it's "Ginabot". This is one of the famous street foods in Cebu. It's deep fried and salted pork intestines. Yes, unhealthy but delicious! It's nice to eat once in a while. I used to have this when I was in University... and the last time I had this before this time was around 4 years ago. lol

After eating, we went to the beach and took some pictures. Actually, we had a mini pictorial/photo shoot by the beach and in the nearby park. I'll be sharing the pictures when I finish editing them as a "photography" post. I'm so happy to take pictures of my bestie. She makes a lovely model, so please look forward to it. <3

We then went to another location before going to our house. She got to say her "temporary goodbye" to my parents as well. We won't be seeing each other for more than a year, but I'm already excited for it. I'm just so happy to spend time with her again. It's truly one of the highlights of my 2019. :)

Thanks a lot for checking out this post. Have a great one! (^_^)/
