In some grocery stores, the fruit is either too unripe or way too ripe, sometimes to the point of rotting right there in the store. I came across some of these fruits not too long ago. They were peaches that were all mushy and squishy, and they probably should not have still been on the shelf, or in the boxes they were in.
I can't imagine that anyone would want to buy fruit like that, so those stores should do a better job of getting rid of inferior produce before it starts to rot and cause fruit flies to infest the store.
