Chia Chili sin carne
Chili con carne is a well-known Mexican bean stew. Usually this is served with meat. But some kitchens leave this and make it like me vegan. The good thing about this dish is that you can freeze it in portions.
This makes it longer lasting and can be used very well as a meal prep.
You just take a serving out of the freezer and warm it up. The recipe is designed for 4 servings.
Ingredients:
40 g chia seeds
1/2 - 1 chili pod
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 pepper (green)
1/2 pepper (red)
250 grams of corn
200 ml vegetable broth
1 tablespoon paprika powder
300 g red beans from the tin
1/2 tsp thyme
400 g canned tomatoes
400 g of white beans from the tin
1 onion
Pinch of salt, pepper
A little bit olive oil
Preparation:
First, peel the onion and garlic and chop very small, also the peppers and chili cut into small cubes as desired.
Fry the onion and garlic in a pan with a little oil, then add the pepper cubes and roast.
Next, the pepper powder is now stirred in and then poured with the vegetable broth and canned tomatoes and stirred well everything.
Season with chili, salt, pepper and thyme, if you like it less spicy you can of course also omit the chili.
Simmer for 20 minutes and stir occasionally.
Finally, corn and the red and white beans are added and boil.
Before adding the chia seeds to it, the chilli of carne should cool off a bit.
If seeds absorb too much liquid, it is advisable to add vegetable broth.
Ready is the Chia Chili con carne.
Now fill only in containers suitable for freezing and place in the freezer.
If necessary, you can now remove the chia chili con carne in portions and heat. A meal Prep which is available longer after a single cook.

Chia Chili sin carne
Chili con carne ist ein bekannter mexikanischer Bohneneintopf. Meist wird dieser mit Fleisch serviert. Doch manche Küchen lassen dieses auch weg. Das gute an diesem Gericht ist, dass man es in Portionen einfrieren kann.
Dadurch ist es länger haltbar und kann sehr gut als Meal Prep verwendet werden.
Man nimmt sich einfach eine Portion aus dem Gefrierschrank und erwärmt diese. Das Rezept ist für 4 Portionen ausgelegt.
Zutaten:
40 g Chia Samen
1/2 - 1 Chili Schote
2 Knoblauchzehen
1/2 Paprika (grün)
1/2 Paprika (rot)
250 g Mais
200 ml Gemüsebrühe
1 EL Paprika Pulver
300 g rote Bohnen aus der Dose
1/2 TL Thymian
400 g Dosentomaten
400 g weiße Bohnen aus der Dose
1 Zwiebel
Prise Salz, Pfeffer
Etwas Olivenöl
Zubereitung:
Zuerst einmal die Zwiebel und den Knoblauch schälen und sehr klein hacken, ebenfalls die Paprika und nach Belieben die Chili in kleine Würfel schneiden.
Die Zwiebel und den Knoblauch in einer Pfanne mit etwas Öl dünsten, dann die Paprika Würfel dazugeben und mit braten.
Als nächstes wird das Paprikapulver wird nun untergerührt und anschließend mit der Gemüsebrühe und den Dosentomaten aufgegossen und alles gut umgerührt.
Nach Belieben mit Chili, Salz, Pfeffer und Thymian würzen, wer es weniger scharf mag kann die Chili natürlich auch weglassen.
20 Minuten köcheln und ab und an umrühren.
Zu guter letzt werden Mais und die roten sowie die weißen Bohnen zugegeben und mitkochen.
Bevor man die Chia Samen nun dazu gibt sollte das Chili von carne etwas abkühlen.
Falls durchaus Samen Zuviel Flüssigkeit aufsaugen gern miterwägst Gemüsebrühe nachgießen.
Fertig ist das Chia Chili con carne.
Nun nur noch in gefriertaugliche Behälter abfüllen und in den Gefrierschrank legen.
Nach bedarf kann man jetzt portionsweise das Chia Chili con carne herausnehmen und erwärmen. Ein Meal Prep was länger zur Verfügung steht nach einmaligem kochen.
