Talk about dark. The more light you cast on it, even though it's a 2d piece, so "shadows" aren't really a thing that exist here on the literal front, the more it seems to suck in the light.
It's dark even before we get to the mood of the piece, but just on a technical level.
Misshapen faces in the darkness. A round-faced full moon leading them, but does it hide more than it shows, especially when lighting the path?
Face-like masks, and mask-like faces. Five, of which four hang back, and one stands center, tall and proud, like a middle finger to the world.
