Spiritual Fullness: Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is

The Christian exigency is to live according to that perfect love that our Lord Jesus gives us: "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another" John 13:34. But to live according to this new commandment we need the spiritual fullness, the ethical integrity, like Christ. If we live according to the dictates of the flesh, that is, the love of money and the pleasures of the body, we will never be able to achieve that love (Agape), which is also a spiritual gift, a perfection from above.
Following the path of Jesus implies a very strong determination, for a very simple reason, either we live subject to the slavery of sin or we accept the freedom of mercy (compassion, kindness, gentleness) and righteousness (Matthew 7:12), and to achieve this there is the sacrament of baptism that strengthens us in the spiritual gifts of faith, hope, and justification. And it is thus, with this visible sign that purifies us, that we leave behind the works of the flesh that bind us to suffering: "Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry" Colossians 3:5.
And it is in this way that the natural man tied to the imperfections of the world gives way to the spiritual man who recognizes the heavenly nature above all things, the old man must give place to the new man, the new Adam in the likeness of God: "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God" Colossians 3:1-3.
Jesus calls us first to this inner change, to then change the world, we choose.
