Working at a firework store!

in fun •  7 years ago

These past few days I picked up a job at a firework chain called phantom firework.
I worked 60 hours in 6 days. Its not that I am complaining i'm just giving you a visual on how much work it is.

I am not writing to complain I am writing to thank or even encourage someone. This job was amazing I loved ever second of it.
Even though we busted our butts for around 60 hour strait we manage to have fun. I was working to warehouse so I was doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Some fun things we did are

1.) On my first day we played soccer when we really weren't suppose to
they made to soccer balls out of clear box tape. Then the goals where made out of cardboard boxes stapled and glued
together.

2.) The next great thing we did was play ghost in the grave yard around the entire warehouse.

3.) We also played free for all dodge ball in the back half of the warehouse to keep the battle field shorter.

4.) This isn't the last thing but i'm going to end here. We played pig/house what ever you want to call it with the same balls we used for soccer.

I just want to say thank you and god bless this amazing experience.

What do those people do with the left over firework that customers dont buy? Do they return for a credit or how does that work? I always wonder why those people open that in the parking lot for just 10day? Do they even make anything?

The fireworks they don't sell they just keep for next year or when someone buys them. The reason you see firework stands on the side of roads is because someone has worked with the firework company and is selling them for "commission" I guess. Also fireworks are up sold by 400%. All they are made out of is gun powder and some salt with really crappy packaging. Also fireworks last a long time with out being fired. its not like food.
