It's a great idea. One hour of continuous flight isn't extremely useful as a training aircraft though. You would want to use it for pattern flying and takeoff/landing training. The takeoffs though would use much more power than continuous flight thereby draining the battery much much quicker. You may get 2 total TO/Landings when you include the pre-flight check and pattern flights.
Not a certified pilot (yet) but that's my initial impression.
