We're currently doing a countdown to the graduation of trainees of ecoDesigns on the 28th of March 2021 with our principal goal being to raise awareness about our social enterprise as well as raise funds to support the graduation ceremony, pay rents and purchase items for ecoDesigns.

4. Membership and graduation.
ecoDesigns currently has 16 trainees and two of these trainees will be graduating on the 28th of March 2021

5. Capacity building in alternative income generating activities and environmentalism
Besides textile recycling and fashion designing, the hub is also training the women and girls in the production of powder detergents, soaps and oils as an alternative ecofriendly income generating activity that can also support them to raise extra income.
The youths of the hub have further been trained to become environmental defenders via the Earth Rangers program.
6. Equipment
For over 3 years we have been able to establish an equipped workshop having over 13 machines, solar lamps, a generator, and furniture. We have all these thanks to the generosity of steemians, our green elders, friends and family who support us because they believe in our dream of women and girls empowerment.
7. Awareness
We've been able to raise awareness about the impact of the textile industry on the environment and the importance of textile recycling. Over one million people have been reached with information with respect to textile recycling as well as the impact of the textile industry on the environment.
