The case of the spread of the Corona virus in China has caused concern for all inhabitants on earth, especially again in Indonesia. According to scientists, the Corona virus is one type that has long been found. Corona virus is a type of virus that can cause diseases such as MERS and SARS.

However, the Corona virus that has recently appeared is a different type of virus. In other words, the Corona Virus that appears recently is similar but not the same, it is likely that this virus has mutations. Mutations have caused this virus to become more violent and deadly. This new type of virus is called the Novel Corona Virus (2019-nCOV). Reporting from the media, the Corona Virus novel was first discovered in one of the seafood markets in Wuhan City, China on December 31, 2019.

This fact was revealed after the Chinese medical team conducted a study. The results obtained by this viral DNA have similarities with snake DNA. Cases of this virus attack were also found in Korea, America, Thailand and Singapore. News that was quite shocking also circulated on social media, some netizens had mentioned that this virus has also spread in Indonesia which was identified by tourists in Bali.

However, Indonesian medical authorities have not yet officially confirmed the issue. However, even so people are encouraged to avoid this virus because of the spread of this virus is very fast and deadly.

So we must be really vigilant too. Symptoms that arise when people are infected with the Corona Virus Novel are characterized as symptoms of the common cold, such as fever, cough, or runny nose. A few days later the patient will experience symptoms of difficulty breathing that can cause death. Until now there has not been found a vaccine to protect humans from this virus and even more worrying also there is no specific treatment to deal with this virus.

This virus can spread from animals to humans or from humans to other humans. Spread can be through the air or direct contact with patients. For example, there are people who have been infected with a virus, then we chat close to that person or maybe even to touch.

Well, the virus can spread to other people to the point that there is a doctor who treats Corona patients who also contracted and died. But, it also depends on the human immune system. If the body's defense system is strong, then this virus could be resisted by the human immune system. However, if the immune system is weak, it will be susceptible to attack.

There are several steps that can be taken to anticipate this one outbreaks so as not to get infected, including:

1. Strengthen the immune system by eating nutritious food, drinking enough water, adequate rest and regular exercise and reducing consumption of sweet snacks.

2. Maintain personal hygiene, for example not eating snacks and always wash your hands with soap before eating.

3. Avoid direct contact with people suspected of contracting the virus. For example, do not travel to China and some countries affected by this virus and if there are people who have recently returned from China it is recommended not to be close first. This is not intended as a racist attitude, but to protect themselves.

4. Wear a mask if you are active in the crowd.

5. Immediately seek treatment if there are symptoms that arise as mentioned above.

At scouting we have an important role to improve the quality of human resources. This also includes our efforts in producing cadres who care about the environment and health. One of the concrete actions we have taken is through the Scout for SDGs program initiated by Scout.org and various institutions Other NGOs.
