Depending on your user role, the Fundition journey will look a bit different. There are Founders, Collaborators, Backers, and Supporters. You can be all of these roles, or just one of them. We will explain. No matter what your role, we advise every user and future user to create a (complimentary) Steem account, in order to be able to benefit from all features.
