Rice is the Oldest Food that We Still Eat Today

Rice plants, which are actually grass species, have been cultivated by humans for between 12,000 and 15,000 years.

All modern, domesticated rice can be traced back to a single crop in ancient China's Pearl River Valley.
The only other food that may be as old is corn, which was domesticated in Mexico between 7,500 and 12,000 years ago.
