Some Cuts From Sanford And Son - Funny

in funny •  7 years ago  (edited)

When I was a kid, we used to watch Sanford and Son.
Of course as kids, we really had no idea how funny
the show actually was.

One thing I recall was Fred Sanford used to say this to
his son every once in a while, whenever his son did
not understand something, "You Dummy!"

My older brother and I were discussing the program over
email yesterday. He lives in Kansas and I live in New York.
He mentioned that our dad used to watch it and laugh so
hard. Our dad passed in 1979 from cancer. His humor
was usually pretty dry, but apparently, he liked this "stupid"
show anyway. I recall sitting a feeling like I was the "dummy"
whenever I watched it, 'cause I never really understood the
humor of it.

Maybe you'll enjoy it as much as I did now that I am older.
LOL!
