Blind Dates That Don't Go As Expected

So, we've probably been set up on a blind date once in our life. Here's a story about one of mine.

So around mid-August 2008 I was set up on a blind date with a guy. I forget his name so obviously there was no second date. I decided to drive to Lexington to meet him and I met him near his apartment in a public place. We had chatted on the phone several times and he seemed like a nice guy. On the way there, we were deciding on what to do, so I brought a couple of movies with me just in case we decided to get take out and just chill and watch some movies. My friends knew him, so I trusted their opinion. (Not the friends in the linked video below)

We meet up and he asks if I wanted to go to church. I was like, “uh, sure”. We hop in his car and he takes me to this Unitarian Church in these woods next to this cabin that looks like it’s from The Blair Witch Project. I didn’t know at the time what a Unitarian Church was. Call me naive. There were no cars there. None. Empty. Eerie. Creepy. I didn’t want to be there. I was not getting a good vibe. Then he said that he thought they may be worshiping outdoors in a field somewhere. We decided to ditch the idea and get take out.

We go back and eat and he asked he if he could read my tarot. I said sure. I’ve had my tarot read several times before. Before he could read my tarot, he made it a point to tell me he does the first reading for free, and then he charges $35 a reading after that. Then he proceeds to tell me he needs to get prepared. He walked down the hall to get his cards and came back wearing a cape. Now, I’m not talking about a mystical cape. I’m talking about a cheap Party City vampire costume cape. I think I bit my lip so hard to keep from laughing that it bled. After my free reading, he had me sign my paper. He then asked if I wanted to watch a movie and I faked a stomach ache from the food and told him I had to leave.

I called my friends, not the ones who set me up with him, and they told me to come over. T gave me a makeover and P filmed us being silly and stupid. So, the pic is from a makeover, and the video is me and T being silly. And yes, she is wearing clothes underneath her robe. So, there ya go. A somewhat dimwitted true, funny story.
