Well You Do

I have noticed that many of us love the idea of helping other, I mean take this platform we are on, Steemit allows all of us in this community to financially help others from all over.

What we need to remember is the is that this is done on the fundamental of voluntary choice, the system does not choose what gets voted on for you. This is what the government does with taxes, if forces you to pay it, well to be more accurate, they take if from you without your permission. Then they spend it on things they think it should be spent on, but what happens when you don't agree with where that money goes? Well nothing happens, you don't get to tell thieves how they should spend stolen money. Government steals money from us with the idea that it is done for our own good, regardless of if we agree, so they give us the illusion of choice.

"It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong." - Thomas Sowell

So how do we break this cycle you may be wondering? Well stop paying tax, this is the only way to combat the over reaching power of the government, take away the power. That power is money, and this is why I write about the things I write about, you may think that what I'm doing is mostly repeating myself. If only one person reads this and it resonates, that's how we change the world.

"The first lesson of economics is scarcity: there is never enough of anything to fully satisfy all those who want it. The first lesson of politics is to disregard the first lesson of economics." - Thomas Sowell

Most of the things happen as per personal interests. At least in cities everyone has become mean and living a life that fulfills their personal agendas.
If everyone starts paying back to the society this world will be a real good place to be.

The older generation over here still thinks that they have a say in how their tax payments get spent. Maybe they did (or thought they did) at one time. On the bright side, our debt (in most countries) is beyond that which can be paid for though tax revenue so the governments just buy their own debt back with inflated currency. Seems like a sound plan to me lol

I know which choice I don't make. I had a problem with the IRS as a young man. I had some questionable income and they presumed I was dealing drugs. I wasn't but they stuck me with a $350,000 lien anyway. Took 10 years for that to go away.

There is more, but I probably don't want it hanging around forever in a comment. Thanks for a wonderful reminder...

Great topic, very good

Ahhhh, Mr. Tax Man. Invites you to his house for a dinner that you had to pay for. But isn't it so nice to have a dinner given to you? Sure as hell could have got it cheaper if I bought it myself though. It is so nice that we have someone willing to "manage" our income for us. We might spend it on something we need if we had control of it. God forbid. By any chance was my visit to Mr. Tax Man yesterday motivation for this one? LOL
