steemit is pretty awesome - as you can communicate freely and earn money as a curator/creator. i think most people are starting to realize that facebook is dead unless you want to spend a bunch of money to reach your audience. another to keep your eye out for is ong.social as they have a solidly built working blockchain platform and they also have an ico on august 11. worth checking out

Easily Steemit! Better integration of all mediums of content. People don't go on Youtube and write stories; though that can sometimes happen in the comments. There also more incentive to interact on Steemit which ensures the life of the user-base. I am new to Steemit but I can already see the benefits over other social media and I like it a lot already!
