Hello fellow Steemians and SPL members, today we have a special treat for you in the form of some comedy gold. Too often poker players spend their days grinding away at tables and have only one thing on their mind...money. After a while, the constant battle starts to take it's toll. Sometimes it's important to take a mental break from poker. So today's mental break comes in the form of a little story telling. A little story about two dudes who love poker and a little ganja happiness. Each day we will bring you a short story on the adventures of these two characters. Please sit back and enjoy.

Meet Chippy

Chippy likes long walks on the beach...oh wait, that's not the direction we are going in. Chippy is about 9,765,898 years old. He has been smoking ganja before ganja was invented. He used to play craps in the back of alley ways, rolling sevens, elevens, and chumming it up with the local crack whores. Chippy didn't really care about the money, he was more interested in the thrill. Just something about winning dirty dollars off the streets that brought him inner peace and joy. But after many years of street craps, he started to lose interest. He wanted a change in his life, but did not know what he was going to do to bring about that change.

Meet High Steaks

High Steaks was a chef by day and a ganja enthusiast by night. All day long he would spend his days in a blazing kitchen and nights blazing at home. High Steaks enjoyed his life for the most part, until his ganja habit got so ridiculous that he had to take a second mortgage out on his house. One day, High Steaks was so high on ganja that he went to work rather elevated. That day was the start of High Steaks down fall. You see, he was so blazed out of his mind, he cooked a steak well done. The cardinal sin of any chef was to overcook a steak. High Steaks was fired on the spot. He went home that evening, lit up a j and contemplated his next steps. Just like Chippy, he wanted more from life, but did not know how he was going to get it. All he did know was his mortgage payment was going to be due soon, and he had no idea how he was going to pay it.
