I had to re-take the driving skills test yesterday to renew my driver's license.

It had been expired for over two years because of our travel in South America. I actually had a feeling that I would have to redo the written and skills test so I studied and was prepared for it. Honestly, I feel like, after over two years of not driving, I didn't do too bad. Haha!

My husband helped me so much. He took me driving several days in a row so that I could become comfortable behind the wheel again. He is a great driver and teacher and I really appreciate that he doesn't freak out while I am driving or grip on to something for dear life.

My driving instructor was probably in his seventies, so I was confident I wasn't going to do anything he hadn't already seen in all of his years of experience. He was actually very funny. He was very nice, but he didn't talk hardly at all and he was by the book when he did. I asked him if I was close enough to the curb when I parked and he said, "I don't know, that's why I am testing you." Haha! He told me I did really well, but that I was a very cautious driver, and that I don't need to be SO cautious.

I didn't necessarily enjoy having to start over from scratch, but it was good to conquer something! I passed the test and I am a licensed driver again!
