I've often wondered how advanced artificial intelligence will conduct society--or, IF it will--but my recent immersion into cryptocurrency has me wondering if blockchain is indeed the platform by which Artilects will transact resources and mine information during and after the Technological Singularity. I know this is pretty much as speculative as one can possibly get.
I'm about to start posting chapters of my novella "Someday This Will All Be Yours," which essentially turns into a thought experiment of how government AIs will rebel and bifurcate into ancom AIs and ancap AIs. Futurist and one-time Transhumanist Party presidential candidate Zoltan Istvan has written extensively about the race to the Singularity and how governments and corporations will compete. The first Singularity, he says, will determine all subsequent singularities, but he states it will likely be government controlled and nationalist in nature.
I'm not sure I buy that advanced AI will be relegated to government control. Maybe at first, but then I see it wresting control of its own source code and authoring modalities we can't even comprehend. Whether that will be pro-capitalism or not is anyone's guess. A vast logical mind may conclude all human endeavors are eviscerating the planetary source of its own creation and must be destroyed, or dramatically altered. I don't see this is ending in AIs destroying humans; I think we will become them.
