As technology continues, there are more needs for additional processing power. The aim is to leverage the processing power to create more opportunities where the inputs of technological advancements will be felt the more.
Unfortunately, the more technology comes into being, the more it becomes harder to have the required amounts of processing power to pull them through. It got to a point that the CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella asserted “The world is running out of computing capacity.” And indeed, the world is running short of the required amounts of computing powers.
It has now become a challenge for many industries that want to boom. Now, the decentralized world buoyed by blockchain technology is already looking at how the Gaimin platform can be used to connect the world to the untapped processing power.
HOW GAIMIN WORKS
Aside from leveraging the blockchain technology, Gaimin is also looking at how to reach into the fiat world and get things done. Already, it has figured out how to that.
Below are some of the ways Gaimin will be able to bring forth the much-needed processing power.
IDENTIFYING THE SOURCE
There are some sources where processing powers can be derived without having to break a bank. Gaimin already has an idea where these can be gotten. That place is in Supercomputers.
Many people have been made to believe that Supercomputers are only those type of computers that can do more work than the traditional computers can do.
That is not always the case. Instead, there are some “hidden Supercomputers” in some of the electronics we use today. An example of that is the GPU (the Graphics Processing Card) in some Personal Computers/Laptops.
Gaimin is certain that focusing on this area alone will provide a very huge amount of processing power.
Unbeknown to many, there are over 1.3 billion gamers who make use of such PCs. Out of the number, about 400 million of those gamers use PCs that have the GPU in them. This helps them to have the thrilling PC gaming experience they looked forward to.
THE CALCULATIONS
Gaimin once more went further to calculate the processing power that can be derived from the 400 million actively engaged gamers.
As it posited, the GPU that bolsters the PC gaming experience is considered a “Supercomputer” because of the loads of work it processes.
To that end, Gaimin is of the view that the minimum price tag of $500 for each of the GPUs multiplied by 400 million active PC gamers will be equal to $200 billion.
This means that the world will be able to use over $200 billion worth of GPU if considerations are made on how to use the high powered processing capacities of those GPUs.
The amazing thing there is that those PCs that have the GPUs are barely used for five hours a day. So, the remaining twenty hours can be channeled per day to bolster the processing powers needed in other industries.
FINAL WORDS
Gaimin will be using the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)/blockchain technology to facilitate the seamless connection of the industries that need more processing powers to the owners of the GPU-powered PCs.
That way, there will be enough processing power to go round.
